THE DEAD SEABIRD MYTH

Once upon a time there was a seabird flying innocently accross the endless surface of the deep blue sea (that was back then, when we called us “Pelican Film”).

Suddenly a shadow stood beside a cliff and fired off one single arrow shaped like a fountain-pen (standing for a huge European company with a similar name that produces pens).

This shot was on target, and the seabird crushed into the sea (symbolizing the huge company attacking us with a bunch of lawyers telling us we should change our name and delete our website).

SPLASH! it made: the Dead Seabird was born (we renamed our film label – and chose a name inspired by this incident) -

and he laughed happily ever after (because if it was not for this company, we would never have thought of such a great name for films with a lot of black humor).

So, wherever you see a dead seabird,
